| GFI FAXmaker supports Microsoft Windows Server 2008 |
London, UK, 29 February 2008 - GFI Software, an international developer of network security, content security and messaging software, today announced that GFI FAXmaker, its leading fax server, now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2008. The latest build, 14.1, also supports Internet Information Service (IIS 64-bit) installations. GFI FAXmaker is a cost-effective solution which minimizes the need for manual faxing by using the existing email infrastructure to send and receive faxes.
GFI FAXmaker works seamlessly with Windows Server 2008, enabling companies to continue making substantial savings on faxing while benefiting from the improved functionality that comes with the new server. Windows Server 2008 is the most advanced Windows Server operating system, designed to power the next-generation of networks, applications, and Web services.
The new GFI FAXmaker build also ships with a range of new features that make faxing in the company simpler and more cost effective. With build 14.1 customers can manage the use of cover-pages as well as implement billing codes for outgoing faxes. They will also notice better integration with SAP and improved licensing functionality.
GFI FAXmaker for Exchange/SMTP makes sending and receiving faxes an efficient, simple and cheaper process - as simple and as beneficial as sending and receiving emails. This easy-to-install and configure fax server solution integrates with Microsoft Exchange 2007 thereby allowing employees to receive and send faxes directly from their email client instead of having to manually use a fax machine.
"GFI FAXmaker has been the leading fax server for more than 10 years. Tens of thousands of customers have used this award-winning product because of its unbeatable pricing, immediate return on investment and more so because it reduces the burden of manual faxing," David Vella, Director of Product Management at GFI, said.
"The new build is another step towards meeting the requirements of our clients and offering them the tightest integration between our products and Microsoft's latest server offering, Server 2008," he added.
